    [Misc] IMC3500 while accessing address book msg revert PROCESSING HAS FAILED

    hi

    While accessing address book from from scanner add new user reverting me with message PROCESSING HAS FAILED.
    From setting address book also not accessible even from web also add new user no luck getting message error : an
    unexpected error has occurred.

    HDD replaced / firmware updated / special service address book initialize still the same. Machine returned from SLNX
    installed customer already sf manager uninstalled.

    have you tried with different providers? With severe problems extreme remedies, I would do a memory erase

      try accessing the address book from the web interface. i never access it on any copier. so much easier to work with the address book from a PC.

        And I preferred at the copier. I don't know about the newer models that have come out since I retired but in the past you couldn't check the machines connections to folders or SMTP servers from WIM.

          Have you double checked to make sure that ALL settings for SLNX have been undone?
          It sounds as though it's trying to pull LDAP settings and won't let you manually configure addresses.

            Just because SFM (Scan and Fax Manager) has been uninstalled, that does not mean SLNX is gone. There are other SLNX components to be removed, such as AAM (Authentication Manager).

            There are also a number of SWs (both UPs and SPs) that need to be reset to non-SLNX values.

            The best bet is to uninstall SLNX from the SLNX server the MFP was associated with, whether it be SLNX V2.x or 3.x. Running the uninstall routine removes the software, and resets all the switches.

              Check if scanner journal is full. In scanner features it gives you option to delete. Adjust setting to do not print delete oldest. Also check system settings -admin tools -address book delete setting (cant think of exact name). Check user authentication is turned off. Format HDD and initialise all addressbook in UCS menu. Just some things to try. Guessing🤪
