    RICOH Aficio MP C2800 keeps printing in Black and White by default

    Hi,

    The printer is installed on a Windows 2000 Server.

    This is the case for Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Reader or Outlook. But it works correctly from Word.

    Reinstalling the driver on the computers (XP) did not change anything.

    Any suggestion welcome.

    Which driver did you install? I had some problems in the past with the RPCS-driver with this issue.

      Hi Eric,

      It is a PCL driver from the Ricoh's CD.
      Windows see it as "RICOH Aficio MP C2800 PCL 6"

        You might try adding the driver locally instead of sharing it out from a server. You will have to change the defaults on each PC as the defaults cannot be changed globally, AFAIK. Also, if you have "roaming profiles" you may experience some issues with defaults.

          There are two places to set the colour option,

          Printer Preferences and Advanced.

          Has this been done?
          Copiers are only as good as there last service

            Hi,

            @TCA TECH,
            I have changed these options on both places "Printing Preferences" and Advanced - Printing Defaults...

            IF I press "Restore Defaults" it will correctly take the option "Color"...
            The only problem is that these settings will not stay once Acrobat or Outlook closed.

            @cobiray
            Yes, there are roaming profiles for these users.
            I will try installing the driver locally....
