    Ricoh MP C407 access control

We have bought in a batch of Ricoh MP C407 machines for refurb and 1 has a problem. When I set the ip address and subnet mask to our normal test address, I could not access the webpage. I get 403 access forbidden. The config sheet says that access control is set to a certain IP range and our server is nowhere near. I can ping the address and it is OK but can't find any way of clearing the access control or setting it to off. Does any one know if the service mode has a clear or reset code for the access control feature?

Look for NCS clear in SP5801-xx. I think it's 11.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

I've run across this several times on used machines I pick up.
Took me a LONG time to sort it out the first time.
Use a CMD prompt to telnet into machine.
Make sure Telnet is enabled on machine in SP5828-xxx, AND on the PC in "programs and features' / 'turn windows features on/off'

        Open Command prompt
type telnet ipaddress (ip address of machine)
        login into machine
        type access flush
        type save
when prompted to save changes type yes

Thanks for the reply, Telnet access reset to 0.0.0.0 for each range, but 'save' comes up with invalid command. SP5828 did not have the telnet enable option in the dropdown list. but telnet connected OK and asked for the admin password which was accepted. machine is on version 1.21 (system and 1.09.01 engine firmware. Any thoughts?

OK. I got it! type logout and then save when prompted DUH! should have tried that sooner. All working now and thanks for the help guys!

Yes.....I think I mixed up one step..... try this:
After access flush step, then type "logout" and the option to save should come up. Type "yes".

            That should do it

BTW....f/w versions / model numbers are redundant for this issue
