    C7110s Error Code SC460-00

    Hey all,

    I'm having a repeating issue with my Ricoh C7110s popping the SC 460-00 separation output error.. I've replaced the IOB, and everything else the service manual recommends. We have noticed that replacing the HVPS caused the error to come later than normally, but still comes up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

      Clean the contact on the discahrge plate of PTR.

          Are you running anything with a metallic coating on it? I've had media like that cause SC460.
          It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

              Nothing metallic. We run between glossy 80# text and uncoated 20# copy paper. the wild thing is the gloss stock runs fine, but the copy paper only gets through a couple prints before the error comes up.

                  Try some copy paper from a different manufacturer. Some paper do have conductive fibers in them.

                      I assume you have replaced the opposed roller, inside of the ITB? Check the condition of the harness going to that roller. Maybe turn down transfer bias, in the paper catalog, for the paper giving you trouble.

                          Thanks! This was my next option. Our supplier has a ton of the 20# in order so I'm sure that's not what he's ready to hear, but that may help.

                              Roll has been replaced along with the ITB. Just started replacing anything to do with that location to be safe.. In the paper catalog advanced options I'm seeing a lot of paper transfer options but noting in regards to bias. Would you know which settings to start with perhaps? Appreciate your help!
