Ricoh Aficio mp 301 spf error code j017

    Good morning,

All papers coming out of the machine were very dirty. I used pressured air to clean out the machine. Every paper I tried to print gets stuck and I get error code j017. Anyone able to help me figure this out?

    Thank you

You are at least one problem too late in seeking help. You should NOT have used pressured air to clean out the machine. You now most likely have toner contamination in every part of the MP 301 to include the jam sensors. You now have an extra boat anchor. It now might be less expensive to buy a new machine.

Do not use even pressured deionized water, you can damage any machine also.

If I'm understanding you correctly, your machine was producing dirty copies /prints (that was your first problem)

Then possibly you opened the doors of the machine saw some dust and decided to blow it out (that's your second problem)

Now you are getting a jam with error J017 (that your 3rd problem)

Slimslob is totally correct, you should have never blown it out. At this point the best advice I can give you is if you are just a end user call a professional technician. Ask them for a full quote and tell them everything.
If you are a technician get someone to help you solve the problem and don't make that mistake again .

And YES, this is a major problem. In fact there seems to be a few problems now.

        All the best friend.
