    [Error Code] SC400 - RICOH MP C2051

    Hi,
My Ricoh C20512 keeps giving me this code SC 400, in the begining i was able to turn off the power and back on and it use to work fine. Later i also tried clearing up the code going into System SP , with executing Fusing Reset and turning the Machine On/Off . Now all of a sudden none of the methods working and cant use the machine any more due the code SC 400.
    Any advise ?

Clean the ID sensors. As a stopgap measure, change SP3324-06 to 1. Change it back to default after cleaning the sensors.

as suggested above, clean id sensors, also check that the ITB belt is not cut, by sliding it with two thumbs of the hand along its entire length

If you don't clean the sensors, when the problem comes back changing the SP might not solve your problem.

As I said, changing the SP is just a temporary solution.

And yes - check the belt for any damages.

+ check the density, this series likes shifting to faint solids. In this state the ID sensors (should be clean of course) have a rough time reading the MUSIC markings.

Also ...just a reminder that "cleaning the density sensors" involves removing the ITB anyways....itb...waste toner bottle #2 and black pcdu out.
Wipe over the sensor windows with a DAMP cloth.
I just thought I'd tell you how to do it seeing as you tried to use a fuser sc clear to clear a density error

Not necessary. Just follow the instructions for replacing the ID sensor board only leave the cable connected. You can swing the board our far enough to clean it. After cleaning there is an SP that need to be ran. The following is from the bulletin on it:

Also in my opinion it could be time to replace the black pcdu group, it could dust more than usual if beyond the scheduled maintenance cycle.
