Admin Password Reset Process in Factory SP Mode

    Hey guys,

I was able to get to the "Factory Service Mode" but when I get in it only takes me to the following screen:

Is there supposed to be some place where I can go to reset the admin password?

I do not think you have entered the sp mode, rather in the administrator menu ...

You can also do it from WIM by entering the IP of the machine

Got it. I've been trying to remove password for admin/supervisor for a while now. Do you happen to know how to get into the Factory SP Mode so I can remove the admin password? If you can please PM so I can do this

Yes I do, but it was already very specifically provided to you in your OTHER thread about this same issue (although a procedure like that has no business being POSTED IN A PUBLIC FORUM)
Why have you begun an entirely new one for the same issue?

Actually.....I just re-read the post with the instructions for Factory SP Mode and was pleased to see there is an error in the instructions

And it is easiest using the Classic Copy function screen where you will have all the touch screen buttons needed.

Re: Admin Password Reset Process in Factory SP Mode

                    There are two ways.
                    1. Logon to the WIM as Supervisor.

                    2. Enter Factory Mode
Reset->143->Clear ->Clear Hold on second Clear
The screen will change to SP screen.
Click System and goto SP5846-046 Then execute
                    Reboot.
Now the only thing with doing this is that the address book will be gone and all the scan settings will be reset.
