    Ricoh C751EX Printer Fatal Error

This is a back up machine for our 7110EX that hasn't been much of a back up lately (7110EX down because K dev unit took a s^$t and waiting on part). I'm getting this error on Fiery E41: Printer Fatal Error. The machine window says "Functional Problem Detected. Press 'Restart' after current process" with a progress bar. Twice it has done it today. I suspect we have a hardware problem since it was taken out of service right after we started getting this issue. I have 3 other fusers I can put in it in case that is the issue, which I read it COULD be one of the reasons BUT if I remember correctly, switching out fusers does nothing for the issue. Any ideas?
EDIT: Make that 3. It just went down after 270 copies.

Did you check SC history? Which error code is there?

It never gives me any alpha numeric codes. Just printer fatal error and the functional problem detected display.

Check SC 5875-001 SC Auto Reboot. If it is set to 0 change it to 1. The machine will now display the actual SC code that it is stopping on. You will then know what to fix.

I doubt he knows how to get into SP mode.

In his profile, there is info that he was trained on this model.

If so he would know how to look at SC history to see what
              the code is.

Checked SP5875-001 and it was set to 0. I changed it to 1. Exited service, attempted to print. Coded out again. Printer Fatal Error. SC410. Drum Potential Sensor Black. I'll try cleaning the sensor first. Maybe it is dusty/dirty. Hopefully that's all it is. As soon as I get things rolling, I'll go check it.

Thank you for your observation. We haven't run it regularly for 4 years. Just sporadic so not much has been needed so I'm a tad rusty.

Thought it would be potential sensor.
You will have to change it.
You can use one from 7100 until you fix it (if you dont have spare parts)
Its a bit tricky, but you can change it only by removing PCU unit.

We rarely run it anymore but when we need it, we really need it. I think part is about $125. I vacuumed out cleaning unit and whole area around sensor. No go. Still coding out.
