English would have helped, been out of the copier business for a while now but my first guess would be replace the polygon motor.

Hello everyone, thank you first of all for accepting me. I have a problem on my ricoh Mp 9002Sp, it practically goes continuously in sc 202 code, I read that it is the polygonal motor, I disassembled the development unit and the drum unit, I sucked up all the toner that could be attached to it inside the machine, I disassembled the polygonal engine I cleaned everything (I must say that I had done it other times and cleaning exactly as I am explaining afterwards it worked quietly) having previously reset the error when opening the machine, the code remains and the machine does not work. Today I opened the car from the rear I disassembled the fans and cleaned them I vacuumed everything that could be vacuumed I reassembled and reassembled everything but unfortunately the code still persists. At this point I would not know what to do anymore , so I await your technical news , thanks

SC202 is an ancient Ricoh problem. There was most likely a loud schreeching noise just prior to the firast time the error showed up. THe noise was the bearings of the polygon mirror motor failing.

REPLACE THE POLYGON MIRROR MOTOR.
And get a servide manual.

Hi all guys, regarding the problem I encountered in the aficio mp9002 sp Ricoh error code sc 202, you advised me to change the polygon motor. I changed the motopre as recommended by you but the sc 202 hero still persists, honestly I don't know what to do anymore, do you have any advice on this??? Thank you

Door switches are usually not a problem as the door safety only affects the laser unit and not the polygon, prevents the laser from being turned while the door is open.

Next items in the checklist are the Polygon mirror motor PCB (the board that the motor connects to), the IPU PCB and the harnesses that connect to the motor PCB.

On an SP 9002 the door safety switches will not cause SC202. That solution is for older 35/45 page per minute machines where toner haze can get into the switches.
