Have you tried a different HDD/SSD?
This defective may, I recommend that you make a formato from a computer instead of using the machine system, so that possible defective sectors are corrected.

Might not be the answer you want to hear but if the code doesn't go away after reboot and everything you've tried then you are likely looking at buying a new controller board.
In my field experience SC672 has often been a hopeless code where my only solution was to replace the controller board.

If reinstalling the machine isn't a huge hurdle then you could always try to factory reset it from admin settings > delete all memory. If only to rule out anything installed on it.

Definitely worth a shot. Just because it is often the controller itself for me doesn't mean that is the case for you, but just keep it in mind that in the end it might just come down to replacing the board.
But lets just say that in all my times battling with SC672 I've never replaced a single memory stick, nor had one be loose.
Clearing CMOS would be an interesting test considering you seem to be getting the code irregularly. Usually the SC672 I've seen are after start-up.
This might be a regional thing because they wouldn't put it in the flowchart if it hadn't happened before.
