Savin MP C3504 and MP C3504ex print drivers

Trying to clarify if the Savin model MP C3504 and MP C3504ex can use the same Mac OS drivers or Windows OS drivers as used for the same model Ricoh MP C3504 and MP C3504ex? Is the control panel for these to brands layed out the same or are their any differences?
Also if there are any differences in any of the software used on the Ricoh model vs. the Savin model of these 2 models?

As i remember the Mac OS have color printing problems with non PS machines, in the worst case you can't print in color... Only B/W.... The Ricoh "EX" machines have a Post Script emulation, and you can print in color with Mac Os.

YES. The only difference between a Savin and a Ricoh is the labels applied to it when unboxed.

So the Savin models are compatible with the Ricoh drivers for Dme with PostScript 3 installed or was it an option?
Also did the Savin models come with the PostScript3 installed for Macs or did it have to be purchased separately as an option?

Savin is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ricoh. All machines come out of the factory exactly the same to include the Ricoh branding kit packaged with the manuals and driver disks. If you are a Ricoh branch or dealer, the warehouse ships you a box. If you are a Savin, Lanier, Gestetner or other dealer, the warehouse ships you a box and a branding kit for the brand(s) you sell.

So if you no longer have the disks with drivers can you use the Ricoh Mac drivers on the Savin models without issues? And do the Savins come from the factory with Postscript3 already installed?

Ricoh might contain a PostScript emulator. It supports most but not all PostScript features and functionalities. Not supported are anything requiring a PostScript license. The PostScript SD card provides that license.

if you have a Savin you will want to download the ppd for MAC from" support.ricoh.com/bb/html/dr_ut_e/sav/" When you the add the ppd on a MAC and you use the wrong brand the MAC won't see it correctly. If its a Ricoh you can download the ppd from "support.ricoh.com/bb/html/dr_ut_e/rc3/

OK thanks, but what's the difference between the M19 ad M33 type PostScript3 SD cards. Which one is used on the Savin .MP C3504 or MP C3504ex

Each model group has its own Type M options number. The Type M33 is for one of the IM C Series model groups, not MP C. The Type M19 is for the MP CXX04 models only. The Type M3 is for the MP C3003, MP C3503, MP C2003, MP C2503only. The Type M3 is for the MP C4503, MP C5503, MP C6003 only.

Thank you so much for the clarification.
Is there anything that Ricoh series MP C3504ex can do that the branded Savin series MP C3504ex can't or won't be able to do or is different?

                              Ok got it.

One more question, I see several sites out there that are selling the Postcript3 Type M33 SD card and claiming its for use in the MP C3504 and MP C3504ex.
and also some claiming the Postscript3 Type M19 SD card is also used on the same models. I know you said the M33 was for the IM C series models. Is it
possible the 2 types are usable on the MP C series. Just trying to understand what I need and what will work for the Savin MP C3504 and the MP C3504ex models.
