Imc2500 reboot after card insert e32 error

    Hi All

had a client where the machine was stuck on please wait screen

we brought the machine into the workshop and tried to resolve the issue and we did every thing from trying to reset the screen to factory mode and even updating the firmware.
when we tried the firmware update the machine froze half way through. we left it over night and when we came back the machine was still stuck and my technician shut down the copier hoping to recover from firmware point. I know this is a no no and have now had to change the controller board but I get the error Reboot after card insert E32 METMF3Aa_eplot even after changing the CB.

how do I rectify the issue on the machine?

    ANY LEADS?

I take it that you were trying to use the not always dependable Ricoh Firmware Update Tool. To recover from the error you will probably need to do an SD card firmware update.

On the computer used to run the RFUT there should be a temp folder that contains all the .fwu and .zip files that were downloaded.

Used this tool only once... Too slow... Updates a single firmware, and then reboots the machine.... Is this the normal behaviour??... After that i never tried again

yes, it's normal, with that method during the update, the machine makes movements, and restarts several times

Try the reset procedure reset 143 C x3 device should beep 3 times then restart the device.

try to do as "copier tech" says, + insert the SD with only the system copy in the romdata folder

1+ with this procedure. It got me out of a bind before.
