Check that its clean and seated correctly. If still giving problem, then replace.
To clear the code, use service code 5-810.
The thermistor you need to check is on the top of the fuser above the hot roller.

                      It'll be System SP.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

                      Hit it.

Yeah, having re-read the post I'd completely agree. These machines are tetchy at best, having someone who isn't exactly familiar with them will quite severly screw them up, especially with fuser codes. You could damage the fuser more if you reset the code and it pops again.

Follow Bogey's directions (I added a little clarification)
                            --------------------------------------------------------
To Enter and Exit the SP Mode
                            1. Press Clear Modes key (Yellow key) .
                            2. On the operation panel keypad, press keys 1,0 & 7 in sequence
                            3. Hold down Clear/Stop (Red key) more than 3 seconds.
                            • The System SP or PM Counter items are displayed. If the printer or scanner/printer option is installed, the Printer SP and Scanner SP items are also available.

                            4. Press System SP.
                            5. Go to SP 5-810 and execute
                            6. Cycle the main power off for 10 seconds and cycle back on
                            -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While I agree with TonerMunkeh that this is best left to a qualified tech, seeing you're in Lagos is kinda like being in the Wild West and you may have difficulties getting this resolved quickly. As noted, if the error returns after resetting, DON'T RESET IT A SECOND TIME without resolving the cause.
