printing in MAc using user code

    Hi Guys
I do have a question regarding printing from Mac 10.7 using user code authentication, if I setup the machine 3260C to user code authentication and control the color and blk printing, in widows I will be able to input the code in driver for each user, but I could not see this option is available in mac, so if I send any print from Mac the machine will not accept the print and it will register the print in the log as error.
Any one is having solution for my issue.

    Thanks!!

I'm sure this is still the same in 10.7 as 10.6, but sorry in advance if it isn't.

Open up an application from your Mac and go to print everything out. Once you have the print window open, make all the changes to the driver that you need to such as pin code, colour or greyscale and finishing options that you want as a default and then look up the top of the print window. The should be options the called Presets and if you drop that down, you should then see a Save As... option that will then allow you to save all those options.

Now after you have printed to that printer a couple of times using that Preset, the preset should become the default making it alot easier tp just hit print.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

ON OSX 10.3 and later providing the queue has been created using the AF 3260 C ppd.

      Select File> Print.
The Printer dialgoue will be displayed.
Open the 'Application' menu (the drop down menu containing 'Layout', 'Colour Matching' etc) and select 'Job Log'.
Check the 'Enable User Code' box and enter a valid user code.

          Sorry,

I must have speed read the original question and overlooked that point. Hope this helps.

You should be able to set default print options by using a web browser to access the web interface for the printing system.

Go to _http://127.0.0.1:631/printers_ and choose your printer. Click on the 'Set Printer Options' button. You should then be able to select various options which can then be set as default. Ensure that you click the 'Set Printer Options' button to apply the changes. You will have to supply your administrator's/Super user's credentials to affect the change.
