[Error Code] SC-401

I am facing SC401 in ricoh aficio 2090 in Duplex printing/copying, machine did not generate sc401 when I make simplex copy/printing, I check transfer unit in another machine which did not generate sc401 in simplex/duplex. I checked the connections between transfer unit to main machine. Kindly help me

SC401: Transfer roller open error

When transfer bias is applied to the bias roller while the main motor is operating,
after bias output has started, one of the following conditions exists:
Input connector is defective
Output connector is defective
Possible Causes
Transfer power pack defective
Poor connection between the transfer current terminal and the transfer
power pack.

Sir I changed complete transfer unit by another one which works perfectly on other machine
kindly help

This mostly are Power Pack problem. Just like im facing Ricoh MPC3300 before.

Try to change and test it.

Did you change out the power pack?

Power pack is locating in transfer unit and i replaced complete transfer unit

where did you get the transfer unit? must be a defective one..

Check the machine side harness that the transfer unit plugs into.

check the drum......i solve an sc 400 error changing the drum, because if the drum is damaged it shortens with the transfer unit

where did you get the transfer unit? must be a defective one..

I have 4 machines at one station and the problematic machine is one of them i also check bicu board by swaping it by another machine bicu board

I had one of these once where the loom that plugs from the transfer unit into the frame recepticle, would pop out during a run, would cause this error. It took a while to find as, as soon as one fiddles with the transfer unit the contact would return and one could use the machine again, until the plug pops out again.....
