Touch Screen Show "Blank" in Colour Copier

Hi !
Does everybody facing this kind of problem ?

The Touch Screen did not show anything just "Blank" when you on the machine.

Only show Error Sign on the below left LED light as red colour.

After check the machine, we encounter the Polygon motor spoil the LD Unit and BICU Board together. Which mean need to change Polygon Motor, LD unit and BICU Board in order to repair.

This problem had been appear in MPC3300, MPC3000 and MPC5000 colour copier only and i have total 5 unit colour facing this problem.

I thought i Power Supply unit. But it work well. At the end we encounter the Polygon Motor which spoil the LD Unit and BICU Board.

May i know how to prevent this issue ?

My other friend who doing copier also facing this kind of problem.

This is a common fault , but you only need replace the polygon mirror motor (no the Laser unit) in addition the BICU pcb can be repaired by
Electroversal in Luton

I have had a couple where it was necessary to replace both polygon mirror motor and BICU board. Just recently I had one with intermittent blank screen issues, and I got away with replacing only the polygon mirror motor.

You can use web image monitor on machines with this problem -- check for SC220 (I am not 100% sure that's the proper code). That will confirm that its the laser/BICU and not a display problem.

EDIT: I swear there was a bulletin on this but I can't find it. I did have one mpc3500 that shorted out a board in the op panel so badly that there was an obvious burn mark there, also caused a blank display. That's worth checking if there's no SC code logged in Web image monitor.

If you shine a torch on the blank screen you will actually see the error code on the screen, it is just really really Dim.
