PTC heater open trouble. You can dis-able it thru program to use the machine but it will continuously display the trouble code. I can't remember the simulation but replacing the PTC will solve the issue.

You will need to replace the PTC unit. You can override the C4-02 code until you get the new unit. Look in your service manual under trouble codes and it has the explanation there, it is an engine soft switch setting.

The guys are right you need to change the PTC unit but in the meantime go back into service mode and change the following bit switch to turn off the unit but you can't leave it for long.
55-1 sw8-3 set to 1

"NOTE:When the PTC unit is broken down and repair cannot
be made because of no replacement part:
To use the machine continuously, make the setting to
ignore the PTC trouble, and the machine can be
operated tentatively.
Set the engine soft SW8-3 in SIM55-1 to "1".
This setting disables the PTC output, the heater
control, and the error detection.
After completion of repair, set the engine soft SW8-3
in SIM55-1 to "0"."

You have cleared, not fixed the code.

You NEED to replace the PTC.

Most of the technicians recommendation with your thread are technicians of Sharps. its funny that you resolve the issue only by cancelling it to a program which cancel U2 codes.

Don't buy a PTC unit as on their own they are a mad price, buy a main transfer belt kit which is less than half price and includes the PTC unit and a new transfer belt which you can keep for another time.

That's what we do here in the UK anyway.

The MX-510CU is an identical replacement for the part, at least that's what I use now.
