MX-M354N have error code but can't get into simulation to clear it

    MX-M354N have error code but can't get into simulation to clear it

    mx-m354n has error e7-93 but i have been unable to enter primary and sub codes. I get to simulation mode but after entering primary code, i press start button but machine does not acknowledge and allow for entering subdued so don't think primary was accepted. Tried counter simulation 22 to test but no go. Please give me tip on getting simulations ini there is a way in which i am missing. Drawing a blank here. Tried with door open as well. Frank

      Frank, you may need to do an EMUPDATE.

          Regrettably and bashfully I have never done that and I am extremely weak on it stuff. Is the procedure in SM or in one of the user manuals related to printer segment? Frank

              8-1 of the service manual. Name ****.sfu to EMUPDATE.sfu.

                      Did not have to do emupdate. Was able to execute simulation 66-10 and clear image send data. Ok now though still dropping developer after new dv unit , new drum and process unit, new toner
                      with new main cvharger fresh developer with successful td execution. Cleaned out transfer asm. MDangerP said to try new right side door which I have not done as customer now leaning to
                      another machine and reluctant to go further with service and parts. Thanks to all. Frank

                          The in a switch on the MFP board, it has silkscreen that says "UPDATE"

                          that will bring the unit up to a screen that will let you update firmware without booting from the SD Card.

                          If that doesn't fix your issue, this series of machines has a history of problems corrupting the SD Card, might replace the SD card then reflash firmware then see if the memory or HDD(if installed) is the issue.
