Sharp MX-4101N Printing Blank Pages

Hello,

Hoping someone can help point me in the right direction to solve an issue with our 4101n. It intermittently prints blank or very faint pages, with no discernible pattern or cause. I suspect either the secondary transfer belt assembly needs to be replaced, or perhaps the fuser?

It won't be the fuser. Does it also do this when printing color? Are these extra pages or get these instead of what should be printed. If the extra try a different paper tray. If just really light may want to check the gear on the back of the PRI transfer unit.

It does it on both color and B&W print jobs. There haven't been any extra pages, it just doesn't print on some of them... For example I had a user send a 3 page color job to the printer (both text and pictures), page 1 and 3 printed fine, page 2 came out blank. Every once in awhile the print will be really light, other times completely blank. I'll take a look at that gear as suggested. Thanks!

In Nov. 2009 the MC MFP was modified to correct this problem. If your MC MFP is a low rev. number I would change it.
