    Sharp MX-5001N L4-03

Looking for help with an L4-03 code on a MX-5001N. The code seems to be accompanied by jamming. This code has been a recurring issue. The fuser maintenance was performed last month (rollers, web etc) and code subsided. When the jamming came back about three weeks later I replaced the MX-FNX9 (inner finisher) and the jamming subsided. Now today the customer reports that the code and jamming are back. The customer cycled power, cleared jams and machine is running properly again.......for now. The manual stated a few different possibilities like the paper feed motor, harness and PWB which I will go after.

Anyone else have experience like this? Any insight much appreciated.

A L4-03 code is a fuser motor trouble code. I see you did fuser maintence a few weeks ago, did you replace bearings as well? If not use a thin oil and lube bearings if the fuser feels like it is turning tight. Try a sim 6-1 and test the fuser motor to see if it is even working. I would start with those things.

I may have that sensor in stock actually. May have replaced another sensor lately. Thanks
