    BP-series monthly rec volume/duty cycle

I can't find this data anywhere. Can these run 70K/month, anyone with higher volume experience please report, thanks
    BP-70C45 / C55 - I don't suppose the engine speed would matter much

And when you compare it to a inkjet from Epson that support 100k month for the price of a CR5 ...

        95% color usage
Those CR5 specs are ridiculous. What, are these just toys?
        Thanks for the data

They're office machines, you expect 4M2 color on a office machine ?
It's the same for Canon, you need an imagePRESS for these numbers.

I would at least step up to Polaris3 for 70k/month.

edit: We have 0 PolarisPro3's in the field I can't speak on their efficiency ; you would be up to your neck in fusers with a CR5.

Don't even think about at an Epson for 95% color usage. They chug ink after 10% coverage.

I think he means 95% of color copy, not coverage.
And I don't see how a toner based would be better for 95% coverage.

I would say they can run that volume for 5 years. We had a school district that built a new facilty and their plan was to have a color copier in the K-4 office and another in the 4-8 office that was only to be used by the office staff. Becasue there was access to the rooms from the hallway they were not used by just the office staff. These are two MX-3050N copiers that were installed on 12/22/2016. One has averaged 122K black per year and the color volume started at 110K the first year and steadily increased to 150K per year. 8 years old with 1.9M on the meter this month. 7 service calls last year.

                    70k, per month !
                    840k year, 4M2 on a standard 5 years lease.
I can see them push 600k year with 2 services per year but I don't understand why go with a CR5 instead of something more adapted.

I have a CR5 BP70C65 that has just clicked over 2 million in it's 2nd year. Machine doesn't stop, the FN14 we had to replace because the metal fatigued so badly it twisted the entire staple unit drive section as all this device does is booklets.

It pumps out the work pretty good, so far so good on drive units as there all still operating and original from build. Fusers keep on going as well but primary belt units keep tearing for some reason.

I have a case with Sharp Japan, waiting for a response.....

Fusers keep on going out you mean? I would believe that... We had two transfer belts early on go rip, but they were one-offs. The thinner external finishers don't seem to hold up well in the long term.

Thanks for the replies, I'd be interested to hear more about experiences on these.
They decided their volume was going to be 'greatly reduced' so went with one BP-70C45 to start with.
No contract...so we'll see what happens. They may have to add another machine if volume is too high.
