MX-4070V L4-02 error

Copier gives intermittent L4-02 codes (Lift motor) we have swapped out all the lift motors, checked all the connections to the lift motors, moved the copier to a different circuit in the building, and last have replaced the PCU PWB, but the copier still has intermittent L4-02 errors. Power supply? Any suggestions?

L4-02? That would be the "Paper feed motor trouble" according to the manual.

The error code mentions a clutch as a possibility has it been replaced?

No, we are going to go out with a feed unit, and a motor. What I don't like about the code is it's not specific to a tray. We will start with tray 1 and go from there.

Sorry I don't know where I read about the clutch.

Easy rider is pointing out its the paper feed motor, not the lift motor

You are correct, it is the feed motor. We just replaced it, our mistake. Hopefully, this resolves the issue...I'm on my way to reading class 101, now.
