    Sharp MX B402SC Density Adjustment

    Hey Everyone
Thank you ALL AS AWAYS for offering help. I ended up just having the customer manual set the exposure to a darker setting for all copying(Both on the glass and thru the ADF.
I tried to adjust the exposure settings for the Automatic Exposure to darken up the print thru the simulations(USING SIMULATION 46)I gave up after 2 hours as nothing seemed to work .
I am not sure Exactly which 46 subcode to use and how to set it(YES I HAVE THE SERVICE MANUAL). Please help as I am probably missing the easy way to make this adjustment and yes I will say the obvious for all
I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE USING THIS SIMULATION ON THIS MACHINE
IT USED TO BE SO EASY 25 YEARS AGO

Thank you for your patience with me as always

Have you cleaned the glass and mirrors in the LSU. Although is has been a couple of years ago I had a B402 with light copies and that made a big difference.

It's much easier to use system settings/copy function settings to adjust default exposure. Otherwise, sim 46-2.

Make sure the customer has not set the machine to Toner Save; density adjustments look great in SIMS, but will be faded in use in copy mode (not sure about Print mode).
