Has anyone experienced F1-22's on these new BP-FN11 finishers? I've been having some problems after installing them in the field. One was shortly after install and the other a few months down the road. The one after install was under warranty so I was ok on that one. The other one I removed and put in a BP-TU10 till I figure this one out. I can't find the part number for the sensor FNPS7. Can the ASM-Return Paddle cause this also? Thanks for the help in advance. Ron

Re: F1-22 Error Code
What I found was two gears that drive it donโt mesh together (to much gap) I was able to bend the shaft the gear is on, which fixed the error code. -

Re: F1-22 Error Code
Thanks for replying to my post. Are you referring to the gears on the paddle drive unit on the front frame. The ones where the clutches are? If you could supply a picture and part number I would appreciate it. Thanks RonComment

Re: F1-22 Error Code
I was wrong, thinking of a different code, f1-22 is referring to the assist motor, which pushes the paper out onto tray after being stacked or stapled. Fnm5 motorComment

Just curious, are you updating the firmware after all the options are installed?Comment

Re: F1-22 Error Code
In the past we would hold off on new models but the BP's didn't seem to be much of a new design. I was hoping for an upgrade to the MX-FN27N.
So far not any issues with the BP models or accessories BUT we never seem to see the wide spread problems that others do. Whenever our Sharp DSS comes in and goes through the list of known issues he is dealing with from the field we have none of them.
I will watch and report here on any BP-FN11 issues.
Every tech has a loaner MX-FN27N. They also have a test machine they can run the FN27N on after they fix them before taking them back. Sounds like I should stock a spare BP-FN11 just for swaps.
The folder had me a bit worried but so far they are running without issues also.Comment

Re: F1-22 Error Code
I had that error with a new BP machine, turned out the connection wasn't all the way in on the lil board in the rear of the finisherComment

Re: F1-22 Error Code
Papers coming out crooked. Alignment issues when stapling and ejection issues. Our problems are mostly in the final step.
We also learned the hard way that an end user couldn't unload sets as the copier ran and it would keep going like the older Sharps they had. We had some unhappy customers that were used to the copier running stapled sets without pause as long as they unloaded stapled sets from as they came out. We had to swap to external finishers at a school in their main offices and take the hit.

Re: F1-22 Error Code
These BP-FN11 finishers are nothing but junk. Had another one code out again yesterday. Told the boss if he sold anymore I'm gone. I can't believe more of you aren't having these problems.Comment
