    [Error Code] H5-01 on MX-M4071

I am very puzzled about this one. I am getting H5-01 errors on several M4071s. Usually I get this code after 5 jams in the fuser, but with these machines I am not getting any jam and the 23-2 shows no jams at all. I have replaced the POD-1 sensors just in case and the firmware has been updated to the latest version. Reding the manual I find this code can also be caused by a fuser wrap jam, but I never see any of those either. Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone know how the fuser wrap detection works? I can't find that information in the manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

We had a lot of trouble with the M4070 series.
I could take one fuser that coded out frequently with H5-01's and install into another machine where it had no problems at all.
I also had rebuilt that same fuser and installed new jam sensor, but it failed to work properly in the original machine.
My theory is that it has to do with the insertion depth of the male side of socket into machine side female receptacle. I think the frame tolerance might be off, requiring extension of fuser-side.
Cleaning the socket pins seemed to work temporarily but not a permanent fix. I believe the code comes from pins losing connection, not due to jams but randomly during operation. Other codes would appear as well, infrequently.

Try switching fusers between a couple machines if possible, you might get lucky like I did on few.

I forgot to mention that I cleaned the contacts and even bought the insanely expensive cleaning swabs from sharp. This helped with the other random fuser errors, but this H5-01 persists

I had found. Deformed fuser rollers can cause. Paper jams.

Replace fuser unit with a new one to test the machine.

            Good luck.
