Working on a FN22 that getting staple jams. the staple seams to get stuck the the top part of the staple unit, the staple doesn't get trimmed or crimped. the set seams stuck and can pull out of the finishers exit to clear the jam. have to reach in and pull the stack down to get it to release and pull out. Called sharp who suggested new staple unit and new rail. even with the new parts same issue. any thoughts?

Did you try a new staple holder? Not the staples themselves, but the holder that those slide in to, then slides in to the stapler unit. I believe it's a drum sleeve of staples if I'm remembering correctly. Haven't had issues with that type, but had issues on the FN19 a few times. -

yep everything that had to do with the stapler has been replaced with new parts. That said figured out the issue. when the stapler fired I notice the door was being shaken open a little each time. adjusted the magnets that hold the door closed and haven't had an issue since.Comment
