    Saddle Stitch Finisher

    Hi

I have come into a little issue regarding saddle stitching an 11 x 17 image... The Copier is a AR-M450N+ and is fully loaded with a saddle stitch finisher (of course) and when I go to print a full 11 x 17 (PDF image file) double sided, with 2 staples and folded, the images are reduced to fit on to one half of the page like they are shrinking to 8.5 x 11. I have tried every configuration possible and was just wondering if anyone else has ever seen this issue... its a real pain as you would think you should be able to print the 11 x 17 select duplex and saddle stitch.

If anyone has seen anything like this before I would love to know how to get around Sharps seemingly locked down driver, it will not allow me to select saddle stitch without being in pamphlet mode. Perhaps a PPD driver would work? Any thought?

    Thanks
    Mike

Page size needs to be 8.5 X 11 and then you set the driver to pamphlet mode and tiled pamphlet set. Then select saddle staple. This will put every thing in correct page order and print on 11 X 17 paper saddle stiched and folded.

Only issue is that the image is two 11 x 17's and can not be broken into four seperate 8.5 x 11 images. The way that the document was formatted was to use the full 11 x 17 page. I have seen this done with a Fiery controller on a MX-5500... but then again thats a whole different story...

I'm not sure you can do what you're looking to do - Full Size 11 x 17 Printing, not reduced. But, I'd look in the Print properties of the Software you are using. The Imager takes its commands from the Software, not the other way around.

Unfortunately, I'm at home and not at work so I can't meter out how to do this - but my thinking is that you should be able to do what you are asking.

Check the Software - Check your Primary Settings on the Printer (side) Settings in Configuration, too. There might be defaults set-up that are causing a skew/issue.

If I can find something on this I'll post something. Hope you find the fix. If you find a fix - Share it with a Post.
