[Error Code] Sharp 2600 PC will not print w/ Maint code on copier

When the Sharp 2600 shows a TA DK VK, two PCs will not print, resetting the codes allows them to print again.
Any ideas what setting can be changed to allow them to print w/ the code on the copier?

If you go to printer properties, ports, port configuration, uncheck SNMP. There was a tech tip about this on the MX2300 series machines.

Since we do not have any MX-2300s I did not check for that.

setting Simulation 26-38 [Used to set Continue/Stop of print when the maintenance life is reached.]should allow you to print even when there are PM's, however i dont recommend doing that for a long period of time, customers wont do the PM and just ignore the codes.

The maintanance indication may cause MX series machines to stop printing when SNMP staus is enabled for the print que. To avoid this error, a valid/invalid setting of maintanance notice by MIB was added to the MFP Soft Switch Control
Sim 55-03 Sw 9 Data 5 0 = valid(default value)unable to print at time of maintanance is displayed
1 = Invalid Printing is available when time of maintanance is displayed.

Alternatively, if SNMP is not required turn off SNMP staus enable in print driver.

downside to turning off SNMP is the auto config function in the print driver configuration tab, will stop working and will have to be done manually. And sometimes on server based drivers the driver may loose the config settings and have to be reprogrammed. (ok if you have a good Keyop/server admin) Solution #2 is do the 100k pm the mach is asking for.

Daves reply is the best fix for this and it should be done on every MX series machine. While your in there turn on the toner display. SW 22 Bit5 = 1
