I've got a customer with an MX-4101N. I don't know the circumstances entirely, as I have not yet been out to see the machine for myself. What appears to be happening however, is they received a fax and the job is in the fax queue. The job itself is stuck on "waiting" and will not allow any copies to be made. I'm not sure if they can print or not. Manually deleteing the job or trying a copy results in the message "Fax data print cannot be deleted from queue." Any ideas on how to get this job removed from the queue? It is not a priority getting the job to print, just removing it.

I'm not sure. Like I said, I have not been out there yet. But that is a good plan.Comment

It appears there is no Sim 66-10 in the service manual for this machine.Comment

Re: Stuck Fax job in an MX-4101N
Perhaps the fax job arrived in a not standard paper size: A4, B5, something like that. That's the main reason that print jobs get stalled in the queue. Maybe turning On Auto A4 is called for. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Stuck Fax job in an MX-4101N
Ah, I checked on a machine with a fax here in the shop. Number 66 simulations are fax specific, probably activated when a fax is installed. I walked the customer through clearing the memory with that sim over the phone, it would not let them even run it.
Would a non-standard size document prevent the job from being deleted?Comment

Re: Stuck Fax job in an MX-4101N
The reason it won't let them run the sim is because the machine thinks the print data is currently active and it can't stop the job at the point it thinks it's at; turn the machine off and on with some covers open and then try 66-10 again, you'll find it'll work like a charm.Cthulhu for president! I am with Akitu on this one. I would also make sure the client did not leave out a piece of information like E7-06. If so, you will need to do 66-10, but also check out tech tip - TT-020713_1.Comment
