    Paper tray locks

Hey, does anyone know of a "lock" to keep people from opening the paper drawers?
We have a college, that has machines all over campus, with paper cut & card readers,
but they continue to have problems with students opening the drawers & taking the paper
    for their own use.
We have one, but they really don't fit well. This would be for the EB-N style machines
    both cabinet & console machines.

    Tnx

It's certainly clunky to look at ... but we've had customers the attached hasp & padlock on each paper tray to keep the trays closed. Keep in mind that it's impossible to clear some paper jams without pulling out the tray.

Some MICR printers come with keylocks on the tray so the unprinted checks are not stolen. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You can try contacting these people but there is not going to be a cheap solution.

We used to attach a metal plate to the bottom of the machine then slide in a metal bar with a pad lock at such places...also removed platen glass replacements from being covered under contracts...nothing like picking bloody glass out of the optics cavity.

The local hospital uses these for the Rx printers. I have no info on them.

... two or three of the Lucas locks per copier adds $100.00- $150.00 per copier which is not too bad for a such a simple solution. Worth testing and from Georgia, USA. I do not know if this an option that you can sell the university or you have to absorb the cost. Volume discount over 25 locks.

I'd love to know where to get that one! Would be much easier than the ones we use now.

I will ask the IT people at the hospital.

Go to Sears.com and look up:REZIPO Refrigerator Door Lock with 2 Keys, File Drawer Lock, Freezer Door Lock and Child Safety Cabinet Lock by REZIPO Black

This might be it. $11.94 each

I think it's a question not to the community of this forum. Try to ask for this information from the administration of the college. I also would recommend fixing the paper needs of students. Unfortunately, there is still no online system for completing tasks. I'm researching many edtech startups (recommended you read) and there are a lot of interesting projects for automatization in the education field. I hope to see changes on this point soon.
