    Toshiba E Studio 166 Network

    Hello all,
I have a Toshiba 166 which I would like to network, a old NT Server network.
I got a print server like this one,

SEH PS03a Printserver extern USB2.0: SEH: Amazon.co.uk: Shoes & Accessories

but cannt get it to print. I can install the software that came with the printer server and I can see the printer on the newtork but just wont print.
    Any ideas?

Fist of all, make sure that you have the correct driver installed as there are two.

    1. Standard GDI printing
    2. Optional GA-1190

To find out which print controller you have, look on the back of the machine and see if there is a metal box with a NIC on it. This is the GA-1190 and you would have no need for the print controller. If you don't have this, then make sure that you are using the GDI print driver.

Another thing would be to make sure that you have the correct port settings setup for your print server.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

      Hi,

as I know this eStudio 166 is low version, so it will not support GA 1190.this option is only or high version eStudio 167-207-237. And yes you can use GDI print server SEH PS03 for eStudio 166 (because previous for eStudio 163) but you have to update to ver 10.2.6. you can download it in www.seh.de/english/index.htm
      good luck....
