Toshiba e studio 2540c service mode password

Hi,


I have a Toshiba e studio 2540C, I'm trying to get into service mode 08 and I get a display User Service and Password which I don't know the Password any help will be much appreciated.

If there is no password, just press OK

I tried that thanks it seemed to work. Usually for the other machines 690 resets back to default in simulation 08 this model does nothing when you do that. Do you know the factory default code?

by default from the factory it is blank.

I left it on test mode and pressed start button nothing happened

Hi.If you get completely stuck and can not obtain the service password, you can reset it via the following method.Hold down while starting the copier up.[4] + [8] + [9] + [POWER]This will reset the administrator password AND service password.Have fun

Remember you will lose all user data when this is done!

Hi I set hold down 08 when I restart it and it beeps and all. Then I get the service password which I hit enter and I get into the screen that says "Test Mode" 100% D but there is nothing else on the screen. Is there something I am doing wrong? I'm attaching a picture here of what I see.

Hi I've tried going into service mode and after I get into Test Mode D nothing happens. I punched in a code and hit "Start" and nothing happens. The screen just stays on the same screen. Am I doing something wrong? I've entered the correct service code password.

What codes are you typing in that aren't being accepted?
You do know that the codes on the newer type machines (ebridge X) such as 2540c are all four digit now don't you? & different codes than on previous machines.

Do you know where I can view those codes? I'm using a three digit code 658 to enable bypass printing automatically.

that code won't work on an e2540c, it'll be a four digit code now (completely different)
you'll find it in the 2540c service manual.

Thank you for letting me know that really helps. I kept trying that code.
Do you know if the service manual is online for the 2540c? I don't seem to be able to find it.

I can't provide a link for a manual as I only access the Toshiba server with my info for that stuff.

The code you want is 08 - 9164 (bypass auto-start) I think (that's the new code to replace 658)
