Toshiba secure copy (checks with holograms)

Hello all,

We've placed a Toshiba 5540c at a customer who is required by law to make a copy of checks. I do understand that certain checks have anti copying technology. Is there a way to disable it in the Toshibas so they can make either copies or scans of checks that have holograms on them?

Can't speak for Toshiba, but we had the same issue with death/birth certificates using KM products. Engineering said NO WAY!!. Any change made in that respect would render the MFP unable to detect actual counterfeiting detection. Our workaround was to play around with the scan/copy settings until we found a combo the MFP would accept and create a mode memory button for those jobs. Hope this helps. Emujo
