    WC 3615 fax header

The issue I am having is that a fax header is over writing a clients information. It is a medical practice and it cuts off client names. There is a header created by the fax, which I do not see that I can remove. There appears to be a 2nd header and that is where the problem seems to be. The font size seems to be smaller than ordinary fax headers and I would consider bold lettered. I am thinking it is on the IT side and he is saying that it is on the fax side.

The customer is using LAN faxing where they select the fax through the print drivers. They also appear to be using a fax application. The name may be Fax Center, but I am not sure. IT guy left before I could ask him. I have called Xerox support and they could not find it in the Centreware or drivers. Has anyone seen this issue and know what is causing the second header.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

At least in the U.S., Federal law requires this to identify faxes from unwanted places.
I checked and I can't see any info on the second header, which makes me a little suspicious of the senders of the faxes. Or maybe something on the LAN is doing that. I haven't used LAN faxing enough to know.
If it doesn't take too long, you might try turning on the "Auto Reduction" feature and see what happens.

      Re: WC 3615 fax header

Thanks for the insight. When this is happening, they are sending. I tolde them that the header that the fax creates is there to stay, but it is not the issue. The fax seems to push the image down and then stamps the header, so there is not hidden information. There is the 2nd header, which I am going back and forth with IT that is creating the issue

The machine with the second header goes through a efax app, Vitality. Which I believes is causing the header that is hiding information.

They have a 2nd like machine that does not go through Vitality and whether I fax from the machine or the print driver, I only receive the 1 header.

So, at this point, I sent it back over to IT and they will contact Vitality, to check on issue. I forewarned the client that it may not be something we can get rid of all together.
