Hi.
Have you ever changed a belt before?
I have done it a few times on a Xerox 700 and I am about to change one one a Versaint 80.
This is how I do it but it MY NOT BE THE BOOK WAY OF DOING IT.
First check youtube for instructions and watch a few different videos on different models if you can't get one on a v180.
you will need a 5.5mm socket and a screw driver.
Open the front door.
Pull out the duplex tray and use a screw driver to extend the unit out a little more.
In your case remove the belt cleaner.
pull up the Developer/ Drum tray handel.
On the v80 there 4 5.5 screws holding the belt unit in place remove.
remove the front gray panel beside the R1-R4 Handel
Remove the handel.
Pull out the belt drawer.
If it wont come out you possible have missed 1 of the screws.
Once the unit pulls out you should be able to remove the belt unit from the machine.
stand the unit up using the legs that is at the front as you pull the unit out and 1 of them rotates to allow the unit to stand on the floor.
There are metal peace's at the leftt and right of the belt assembly that has 2 and 4 screw holding them on, remove and remove the black plastic at the bottom 2 screws.
Then there is a 5.5mm scoket head olding the tention on the belt turn till it clicks with no tention.
The belt shouls slide off.
Make sure you install the new belt with the silver sensor on the same side as the old one as it is the belts home position.
Now put everything back in reverse.
I have never done anything different you possible should be doing other steps but I dont know what they are and its worked for me for 5 years now.
If you are still unsure send me a message and ill do a rough video guide using my v80 machine which is very similar to you 180.
Im waiting on a belt to come in for it at present.
