Xerox Workcentre 6655 Help

Greetings one and all.

I was given a Workcentre 6655 from a business that was redoing all their computer, copier, printer, etc. systems. As a result, I was able to bring this to my house and use it, but now it is not getting along too well.

It is running extremely slow. Pushing a button as a 3 to 5 second delay before any acknowledgement that it was pressed.

Also, it had a wireless USB adapter that will not allow me to change the network now.

I was able to get into the admin panel and do a soft reset, but the problems still exist. Any help is appreciated.

Slow responsiveness, my first port of call would be to do firmware. Do a forced altboot as this will wipe everything back to factory too. Firmware is available on xerox.com

The wireless dongles on those workcentres are a bit backwards in terms of setup. You must first switch to wired network and network the device via ethernet, then use the web interface to configure the wireless connection, then switch back to WiFi.
