Xerox 6700 NO ERROR, NO ORANGE LIGHT - Not Printing

Ok so here is a peculiar one. My Xerox 6700 Phaser just stop printing. It has ink, there are no errors or orange light. But when I even try to run a test print or print from PC.... Nothing. I upgraded the firmware and even changed ram to trouble shoot. I vacuumed inside checked for anything else . Has anyone else ever had this issue?

    Common network mistakes:
    1. User changed router, the IP address changes.
    2. Someone moved the machine, ejected the LAN cable and forgot to plug it in.
    3. Double IP address. One of the device connected to the network is having the same ip address as your machine.

Hi, the only thing close to any of this is that I had the printed on a USB hub connected with also another laser printer to my one working USB outlet on my computer.

If it's an IP address mixup or something. How do I solve this. Because the printer doesn't even print test pages. Thank you so much in advance for any other advice given.

doesn't even print test pages? are you referring to internal test prints? if it doesn't print internal test pages it has absolutely nothing to do with the network or anything external

what actually happens when you attempt to print an internal test print? perhaps the trays paper sizes are set incorrectly

You must reload the printer firmware ( software). Must do altboot procedure from service manual.

go to control panel, devices and printers, right click on the device and select "printer properties" then select "port" - is a WSD port being used? if so change it to a TCP/IP port

I have done the new firmware install and that did not work. Thanks for the advice though. Still appreciate it

Hi hi, that is the one thing I am also trying to do. Can you point me in the direction of the SD CARD image? Or a possible tutorial.

Hi there - Any chance I could get a copy of that boot file too (pretty please, lol)? A client of mine has a 6700DN that keeps rebooting on its own and it seems like the SD card is wacked. I downloaded the firmware to a flashdrive and tried to install it via ALTBOOT but the upgrading/installing firmware screen doesn't appear. I may try a new SD card in there. It is currently has an 8 GB SD card in there. Any idea if I have to use the same size, can go down to 4 GB, or upgrade to 16 GB or greater? Do you have any ideas how the SD card has to be formatted? Does the firmware software possibly format the card & installs the software needed? Any advice or tips is helpful. Thanks!
