Xerox 252, fault code 042-326 or 042-327

we just cleared a Bad Paper jam on our xerox 252, restarted the machine and now its giving us fault 042-326. Tried to move and center IBT Belt, then got fault code 042-327. Are these 2 faults related? How can they be cleared? Iam missing something?

I cleaned the silver patch inside the belt. Now it's mainly fault 042-327Is there a way to set the belt in zero position?

First you need to remove the IBT assembly and make sure the belt is installed so that the IBT belt edge and the IBT belt frame are approx the same distance from the front and rear.

Next you need to run the Belt Edge Learn adjustment.

Enter diagnostics mode:
Press and hold the 0 key for 5 seconds.
While still holding the 0 key, press the start key.
The CE Access Number screen will appear.
Enter 6789 and confirm.
The topmost area of the UI display will change to a white banner with black lettering to let the user know that the mode has changed to the CE mode.

Press the log in/out button.
select system settings
select common settings
select maintenance / diagnostics
select sub system
select belt edge learn
select start

Hope that fixes it for you. If not there are a bunch of additional steps to troubleshoot this error.

Followed all instructions, removed belt, put it back on. Machine starts with no fault, but when I enter belt edge learn menu and start the operation the machine faults back again to 042-327. Could it be the belt itself that needs to be changed. It does not any damage. Please HELP!!!!

You can get a silver patch and place before the current silver patch. However, saying that I have replaced 2 pretty good belts due to the weather conditions. On days that are too cold I have noticed the edges of the belt curl upwards and the silver patch is sometimes not detected. When the room is an appropriate temperature the edges seem to go back into the appropriate shape.

Try to cut new silver patch from oracal film, and replace old patch with new one. I did that many times.

Make sure the optical sensor that reads the reflective patch is clean. Tends to get dusty.

reset nvm location 741-105 to 0....

do you work on 4595? i need help too..

Make sure the optical sensor that reads the reflective patch is clean. Tends to get dusty.

be sure to set the nvm location 741-105 to zero. make sure the patch and sensor are clean. vacuum out the cleaning blade.. get all that toner out of there. dust the blade and put it back on trying to center it. fire it up. do the adjustment and you should be good. if not. then try that patch deal.. i havent done it. i just would try a new belt.

Hi. I've the same error code (042-326) - xerox dc240.
I cleaned everything I could to clear. Silver stripe looks clean - but it aren't changed.
Error of course remains, 741-105 change to 0 has no effect.
Because I moved belt I also tried to do learning cycle - the message is 'diagnostic routine error'.
Change, however, a silver stripe?

When I turn on machine I can hear that machine starts to work but at some point the machine stops rapidly.
When I turn the mode of learning for the belt there is no response from the machine.




Does anyone have a photo on which it is a 'silver strip sensor'?
