    workcentre 3325 invalid toner cartridge error

    Customer brought one of these in the other day with the error message when she replaced the toner. She has Xerox brand toner with the correct part number. She also has the empty toner cartridge and when thet is put into the machine if correctly reads "toner empty" So is there a way to over ride the error or does she have to send the defective off yet again for another replacement toner? This is the second new OEM brand toner that has displayed the message.

    Did you ever find a solution for this? I have a similar problem with a Xerox Workcentre 6605 which is refusing to recognise the Magenta toner with fault code 093-961 - Invalid Toner. Had a Xerox engineer out who said its because the machine had used non OEM toner and now wouldn't recognise OEM toner any more. Distributor sent out an independent engineer who said:

    - Remove empty toner and re-close cover, wait for machine to request toner
    - Switch off machine for one minute
    - switch on machine and wait for machine to request toner
    - add new toner and close lid
    - everything should be then ok after that.

    Sounds like rubbish to me but we've got a OEM toner arriving tomorrow so we'll see.

      had that problem before, it is actually a problem with oem and other toners that are said to be genuine xerox but for some reason don't work, might cost a few bucks, but just buy a new toner. worked for me. i actually just played with the toner chips, and changed them around and that worked. but a new toner should work

        Still no joy. Indy Engineer then suggested that we remove all toner and switch off. Leave for a minute and switch on, inserting the toner in the order the machine requested one by one. Still nothing. Now going back to Xerox as a colleague from a different depot reports that they had a Xerox engineer come out, connect via crossover cable and perform some kind of FTP fix resetting or adjusting the region. We'll see what happens.

            If the print cartdrige is the correct one for this printer then machine firmware reload is the solution for this error code.
