We are konicaminolta dealers and need to know how to get into service mode on a Xerox WorkCentre 7970 and workcentre 5955. Thank you for any assistance.

hehe. try s 0 0 s 0 1. I am also KM tech why do you need to get in there? only reson i can think is to set vendor mode.

Nope that won't work on anything but the Konica Minolta. Apparently Xerox does not have a service mode as we know it. We just got a couple customers out there with xerox's.

Press and hold the 0 key for 10 seconds then simultaneously press START.
You will then be asked to enter a code. Type "6789" and Enter.

That will put you into UI Diagnostics. This will work for both machines and all Xerox machines that use the Connect Key Software.

Most will take you directly into the diagnostics screen. Some models you will be required to do the following after entering the code:

Press the Machine Status button.
Select the Tools Tab.
Scroll down to Maintenance / Diagnostics.

Can you get Xerox manuals of individual machines? I don't mean edocs please.

Service manuals are available as PDF downloads at service-manual.net. Most of them cost $12.00. You have to print them yourself after download.
