did you upgrade the ram to over 3 gb by any chance? if so, take some out and try again.

do you have a fiery installed? I think there was a bulletin of a dummy vsel board for when no fiery installed. I cant find bulletin now

The Video board is bad. Its a pretty penny to replace it.

Check the printer interface PWB in the Fiery. Reseat the pwb and/or reload fiery software

no its the insert card connecting your fiery to the controller.
Like milo says, reseat the card, maybe in another slot if there is one available. Clean the pci strip of the card with a dry cloth before you insert it. Then reinstall the software
