    Brother MFC-L6900DW locked up

I have a MFC-L6900DW that is locked up. The unit is 10 months old, and when plugged in, will not come to ready. When I power it up the Home button lights, then the back and cancel buttons light within 1 second, so all three lights are on. Touching any of the buttons does nothing and the power on/off button does not work. The only way to power it on or off is with the power cord. There are no sounds no fans not anything. I swapped the power supply board from a similar machine and it made no difference. I am thinking main board or control panel. I am open to any suggestions or ideas.

Never had control panels bad. Main boards fails due to failed NIC ports.
Otherwise they are solid. Do you unplug Ethernet cable when problem arrives?
Had a few ones where corrupt job causes printer restarted itself.

Brother service may have updated firmware for the machine, and even their customer service phone is not bad. If you know an authorized Brother tech. or Dealer they can hook you up. Worth a try every time on Brother brand fax, not sure about their newer stuff, but likely the same!! i wonder if they still have a bunch of beeping noises to let you know how firmware update is progressing??
But before all that, the basics: Did you pull out all toners/drums/peripherals one at a time to see if it made the problem go away (especially if NON OEM supplies)?
Some models have a removable fuser, if not seated, will turn it into a stupid toaster as you describe.

            SO.. a blank screen?
you replaced the LVPS.. did it have multiple errors? could need it reset.
the main bds on those series were a lil flaky. but you aren't doing warranty work.. might not be worth it..
like mentioned .. pull n reseat all consumables... check sensor flags on fuser when reseating..

            do you have the manuals?

1st flash with the latest FW.
