    Brother HL-3140CW misaligned (blurred)

Hello everyone, I have an issue on my Brother HL-3140CW laser printer that has been going on for some months now.

Some months ago I had to replace the fuser heat roller because a paper separation claw broke off and ripped the coating of the roller, resulting in a messed printing througout the paper sheet.

Since then the printing (except black text printing) has been blurred as images were double printed (it looks like colors are off at about 4-5 mm from the black print). I sincerely don't know if the issue has been caused from the breaking of that claw or from my repair (even if I worked flawlessly).

The color autoregistration process in the printer menu doesn't succeed, and MAINTENANCE 66 procedure in the maintenance menu fails. I tried the "Printing of misregistration correction chart" way without luck, but i'm not so sure interpreted the chart correctly.

I also tried installing spare (not new) transmission belts and toner cartridges.

Has anyone any suggestion to solve the problem or could help me using the misregistration correction chart?

Can you try another fuser? As it sounds that problem started after you repair fuser.

I'd have to buy a new one, but as it's quite expensive (about 250-300$) want tho check the odds better. If nothing else comes up I'll probably buy it and report back.

Try and locate the optical sensor assy that detects the color registration test patterns on the transfer belt during the calibration process. Perhaps it got dislocated during the fuser swap.

Thank You! That was probably the issue.
I took the fuser assy, drums-toners and transfer belt off and checked the inside of the machine carefully. I found a misplaced spring on the black led assy that hangs down from the top cover together with CYM led assys, so probably the black led assy wasn't in the right place or didn't feel right.
Or, the black led assy was the only one in the right place and any other where wrong if the black one is a true for the others.

Than I put everything back on carefully and autoregistration process completed.

          Thank You for Yout help!

I'm having a serious problem of color misalignment (the yellow color is shift by 2mm aprox)
I already checked all the light emiter arrays for each color and all seem to be fine.
Drums and toner cartridges are original Brother
The transfer belt looks ok and with no signs of mechanical problems.
What I can't figure is where is the sensor that check the patterns during the calibration process. What shoud I look for?
