Brother MFC-9140CDN reset replace toner cartridge message

    Hello all,
I urgently need a method to reset the Brother MFC-9140CDN starter toner cartridge
    without replace starter cartridge.
The toner cartridge number is TN-241 Europe or TN-221 USA (MFC-9130CW).
I know method that works with the same toner cartridge (HL-3170CDW),
without putting flag gear, starter cartridges are reset.
Which may help lets write here or in PM.

Thanks and merry celebration of the New Year.

I know that. Change with a new toner cartridge is the fastest, easiest and most clear. But this forum is about to help, if we can and know how. Therefore, ask for an alternative.

        Regards

          hi there
you can manually reset the toner cartridge via the printers menu.

          • if an error message appears on the LCD display, press the Cancel (X) button to show the main menu.
          • Press the Fax button to make the numeric keypad visible. Then, locate and only locate the Asterisk (Star) button on the numeric keypad. It is important to remember its location as it will not be lit up later when needed.
          • Press the Home button to return to the main menu.
          • Open the front cover of the printer (to access cartridges).
          • With the front cover open, press and hold the unlit Asterisk (Star) button for 5 seconds.
          • The reset menu will now appear on the LCD display.
          • Scroll through the menu to select a color and yield to reset.
          • The LCD will read "Accepted" once the reset is complete.

or you can purchase a reset gear and add this to the cartridge. But it is fiddly and the above method is better..
