HP Laserjet 500 color M551 Paper Jam Optional feeder Tray 3

Anyone here see this one? The paper is pickup from optional tray 3 about 3 inches and stop before go up to the side sensor. I have check but see nothing obstructed the paper path nor sensor. It just stop on the side of the feeder where you can open the side door of the feeder to check for jam. Any advise!

what is the jam code?

is there a rip or dent on lead edge of paper?

how many pages have been printed from THAT tray?

have you cleaned/changed feeds in T3?

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?

I got paper jam error 13.A3.D3 form tray 3. I have replaced new OEM roller. Paper look fine at the edge, but it just does not feed thru the sensor and the second set of roller on the side of the feeder. TIA

perform sensor check in service mode

also it would help with your next issue to STATE all these items I ask about in the Orig Post to save time

Another design flaw on HP M551 optional feeder tray (P/N CF084A) After spending 1/2 day to take the entire feeder apart, the issue is one of the gear does not fully engaged which will not turn the 2nd set of roller on the side. With a little modifies on the drive gear bracket, the feeder works fine now. If any one run thru this issue, PM me I will show how I did it.
Glad that I brought this into the shop instead of fixing at the site

I'd be curious to see the fix you performed, if you don't mind sharing. I have a customer with several of these, and I have definitely battled a similar jam code on their accessory trays. I even tried swapping the drive assemblies at the back of the machine without any effect.
