I've got a customer's XM3250 that went from 50 ppm to about 17 ppm both copying and printing. Eco settings and quiet mode are off. Paper is set to 8 1/2 x 11, type is set to plain. Resolution set to 600. Firmware updated. Network cable unplugged. It copies/prints slow immediately not after several pages have printed. Copy quality is great, no jamming. Everything seems fine except the slow printing. Anybody ever have this issue and know what the problem is?

Re: Lexmark XM3250 printing and copying slow
Try doing a factory reset after you have collected all of the required info from the copier.
Restoring factory default settings
From the home screen, touch Settings > Device > Restore Factory Defaults > Restore Settings > Restore all
settings > RESTORE > Start. -
Re: Lexmark XM3250 printing and copying slow
I found this info.
"Slow print; Printer slows down; Printing is slower than expected; Slower than normal operation; Not printing at normal speed; Takes forever to print; Slow performance; Printer is not working properly; Decreased print speed; Prolonged wait time to print pages; Extended; Delayed printing response; Portable Document Format;"
Option 1: Disable Bidirectional Support on the Driver Properties
Option 2: Disable TEOJDISABLE registry key to disable the language monitor for all queues.
This is a long shot because the problem from this bulletin relates to pdf printing in Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (32-bit); Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (64-bit) enviroments.
We had 5 of this model with some weird powdery film on the feed rollers that would cause the tires to slip on the paper. These were new machines out of the box. It wasn't enough to casue a jam but the MFP would re-feed until the paper finally reached the next set of rollers. I watched the feed from the rear of the machine through the paper tray and the tires would spin and barely advance the paper.
I would try a speed test through the Manual Feed tray and see if it also runs at 17ppm.Comment

Re: Lexmark XM3250 printing and copying slow
anyone find a fix for this. i have one doing this. very slow printing and copying. first few come out at normal speed then it starts going really slow. also it will jam on 2 sided, copy comes out and stops (200.14) it does not pull it back in to do the second side.Comment

Re: Lexmark XM3250 printing and copying slow
I would test the machines by feeding from the MF tray to see if you get the same results.
When feeding for the 550S tray you might want to watch the paper feed from the back of the machine to see if the tires are slipping on the paper in the tray. Even if the feed tires are good it could be a case of the tray not lifting high enough. They slip and slip then finally feed the paper in to get it to the next set of rollers. I have seen this on a batch of new machines where there was some white powder on the pick up rollers. They ran really slow but never jammed.Comment

paper feeds from the front, not the back...

well since the power supply has nothing to do with the speed why would you replace it???

Re: Lexmark XM3250 printing and copying slow
I meant to watch the paper being fed from the rear of the machine. From the rear of the machice you can look through to the front side of the machine where the paper feed rollers are and watch the paper being fed from the tray.Comment
