Good afternoon. I have a Lexmark CX820 and need to update the firmware. Unfortunately, I cannot access the embedded web server using the admin login since the previous tech did not document the password. Can someone please provide instructions to reset the admin password? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

this may work for your machine
1st power off the machine and hold 2 & 6 down and power on while holding the 2 & 6 keys
you should see it boot into configuration mode and see if there's a reset password option i cannot remember if there is but do check.
if you cannot enter configuration mode it because there is a small jumper that is set in the locked position - to unlock it you will need to get access to the main board (motherboard)
it can be located on the back or side of the printer.
once found look for a small jumper -- sometimes its yellow plastic peace over two pins, once found move it up to the next pin and repeat the steps above.
found this se menu has some dump options see if there's a password clear or something in here.

there is this last option this is untested so be careful.
force firmware mode by pressing 3 & 4 & 6 together it will boot to invalid engine code.
be careful of the options you choose some may brick your machine.
