i just wanted to share this in case anyone else has this issue. i was chasing my tail trying to figure out what was going on. looking at the service manual and inside the copier, you would think this is a paper jam. which it is. according to the manual it tells you the steps to take. those steps didn't fix the issue. so i reached out to lexmark. they had to escalate it up to the engineers. the engineers response was to replace parts that i had already replaced. this didn't make sense to me. so i started investigating even more. i am adding a photo to this post. looking at the photo: the area marked C, had popped up out of position. this in turn caused D to move up out of position as well. though it was very little that it had moved, i had overlooked it several times. i suspect the customer had a paper jam. and in the process of removing it caused C and D to pop out of position. if you look at where they seat into position, in my opinion it is poor design. hopefully me beating my head on the wall will help someone else who might run into this same error.

Thanks for sharing dale. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
