    Lexmark MX721 611.xx printhead error,

    Hi All

    Help
Getting a constant paper stoppage just before the transfer roller and a "printhead error 611.37 " also 611.35 .
    No paper jam message .
Checked all sensors , paper feeds etc.

Best part the service manual really doesn't have this code
    Any ideas?

    Thanks much

    P.S.

So I just discovered , if the paper type setting is heavy , label , thick it codes out , bond , plain etc , it works..

Re: Lexmark MX721 611.xx printhead error,

There is a Paper Jam 611.37 & 35 listed in the User's Guide of the MX432 / XM3142. Just says paper jam in the standard tray. Could the Printhead error be secondary or in addition to the paper jam error?

I wish..this unit has 5 trays and it will give code 611.xx from all trays.. AND playing with it , it doesn't code out if the trays are set plane paper etc, but will for thick , heavy stock types

Re: Lexmark MX721 611.xx printhead error,

Will the power supply be a thing to test taking in consideration the load may vary by setting it to thick? I know from the past experience any printhead errors I had with Lexmark (those printheads without traditional polygon motor) I had to change them to get the machine working, very expensive printheads at that time

Is it possible the firmware has a bug in it given the error code only happens with thick type stock and always before the transfer roller

Re: Lexmark MX721 611.xx printhead error,

Try replacing the image unit first. Got caught with that a few time.

But usually, when a printhead message appears, it is the printhead that is defective.
