    [Electrical] Lexmark XC9245 LCD

    Hi Guys

    XC9245 Lcd going fuzzy and doing all sorts.

    New lcd fitted and latest FW ver 230.217 but still same issues.

    Checked ribbon cables both ends.

    Can print and copy after lcd starts playing up .



    Anybody had similar issues Thanks

      We ran into this last week when we update a XM3250. Lexmark rep sent us unreleased firmware which corrected it.

      As of this morning there is now a warning on Laxmarks support site.Due to an unintentional firmware change that was introduced with the xxxxx.230.204 firmware release, some touch screen displays started to perform the following issues erratically:
      • Flickering
      • Unexpected artifacts
      • Mirrored or missing objects

      Solution

      To resolve the issue, the printer firmware must be updated to xxxxx.230.211 firmware release version. Contact Lexmark support for assistance with updating the printer using this version.

          The newest available in the US online is 230.207
          What we were sent by our rep was 230.211

          Where did you get 230.217? Was this from your service rep?

              Hi

              Got 230.217 Lexmark download site.
              spoken to Lexmark support they sent FW 230.211 to try.

              so will visit customer and update you guys

                      So the link is a BG site and we use a US site.

                      The GB site does not have the big red warning about the potential problem.

                      On the GB site CXTMH.230.207.zip 692 MB is still what I see as the neweest firmware for the XC9245. Perhaps they pulled 217.
